Tigers can't overcome Garces, fall in playoffs 13-10 Tuesday night; Garces wins Div. II title

Lemoore's water polo season came to an end Tuesday at Garces Memorial High School when the Rams outlasted Lemoore 13-10. As a team, the Tigers finished an impressive 20-10 while posting an 8-4 West Yosemite League record.

Garces won the Central Section, Division II championship on Thursday when it beat Monache 16-10. The Rams turned in a solid season, compiling a 26-6 mark and a 5-3 league record.
Lemoore's boys' water polo team opened the Central Section playoffs on a positive note, coming from behind to defeat Kingsburg High School Saturday afternoon. The Tigers made the long drive to Bakersfield for a Tuesday, 4:30 p.m. matchup with Arvin High School.

In the boys' match, the Tigers came from behind, trailing the entire way before outscoring the Vikings 5-1 in the final quarter for an 11-9 win and another round. Lemoore's Cameron Olson had four goals on the day, including three in the crucial final period.
