Lemoore man in stable condition after shooting incident early Tuesday, suspects in custody

Two Lemoore men are in jail today million-dollar bails after shooting a bicycle-riding Lemoore resident early Tuesday morning (Nov.7) about 6 a.m. Lemoore police quickly arrested two suspects, Cesar Moreno-Pinon and Jimmy Yzquierdo-Zaragoza, both 18 years old.

Immediately after having been shot, the victim rode his bicycle home and then called the police. After officers rendered medical aid, the wounded man was flown via Life Flight to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno where he was in stable condition.

The 67-year-old victim told police he was riding his bike in his Cedar Lane neighborhood when he was approached by two Hispanic males dressed in dark clothing.

The suspects said something to him while he was riding his bike towards them. The two suspects stepped in his path to force him to stop.The Lemoore victim altered his way and rode around the two men. A shot was fired and the victim felt it hit him in the back area. He immediately rode home to call the police.

After interviewing the victim, police flooded the area where the suspects were last seen. A Lemoore officer saw two men matching the description walking into a nearby apartment complex. Officers took the first subject (Moreno-Pinon) into custody without incident.

The second man fled into an open field near West D Street. He was captured after a short foot pursuit.

Video surveillance was also seized as evidence and assisted in this case. 

Moreno-Pinon was booked into the Kings County Jail for attempted murder, participation in a criminal street gang, conspiracy to commit murder, threatening a peace officer, and public intoxication. His bail was set at $1,120,000.00

Yzquierdo-Zaragoza was booked into the Kings County Jail for attempted murder, participation in a criminal street gang, conspiracy to commit murder, possession of burglary tools, and resisting arrest. His bail was set at $1,110,000.00.

A search of the area described by the victim led officers to discover a spent shell casing in the 1300 block of Lincoln Lane.
