A Santa Rosa Rancheria resident put up a struggle, but Kings County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Carson Perry, a convicted felon, on suspicion of carrying a firearm, possession of ammunition, resisting arrest and violating a domestic violence restraining order.
Several deputies received minor injuries because of the incident. Perry finally surrendered to a Kings County K9 and taken into custody.
On Jan. 13 at about 6 a.m. the deputies and officers from the Kings County Probation Department conducted a Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) compliance check at 16670 Saltgrass Dr.
Perry was under active community supervision but had not yet checked in with his probation officer after his recent release from state prison. Several people were contacted at the residence and complied with law enforcement's requests to exit.
Deputies entered the residence and found Carson in a bedroom with a loaded Glock 21 semi-automatic handgun in his possession. Deputies secured the weapon, but Carson began fighting with the officers before finally being arrested.
