Lemoore’s boys’ soccer team continues its solid play as it forced a 1-1 with Mt. Whitney Wednesday to keep pace in the demanding West Yosemite League, but took a disappointing step backward in Friday night's 1-0 game at El Diamante.

It took a pair of overtimes against the Pioneers, but the Tigers managed to tie the score after the Pioneers scored in the second OT.

The Tigers hope to resume their winning ways play when they play host to Golden West on Monday night at 6 p.m. in Tiger Stadium. The Trailblazers are 6-4 in the WYL. Lemoore improved to 5-4-1 in the WYL and are 13-9-1 overall.

The tying score against the Pioneers came off the foot of Jackson Fagundes in the dying moments of the second overtime period.

In girls’ action, Lemoore dropped a 1-0 decision to the Pioneers in Visalia Wednesday night and then fell 2-0 to El Diamante at home. In Wednesday's game, Golden West scored a goal in the first period, but the Tigers were unable to find the net the rest of the way.

Lemoore fell to 2-6-2 in the WYL and are 10-9-3 overall.
