Lemoore boys’ basketball team is hanging on in their quest for a Central Section playoff spot, but Tuesday’s disappointing 56-52 loss in Lemoore’s Event Center to El Diamante didn’t help.

The Tigers fell to 5-5 in the West Yosemite League with just two games remaining on the league’s schedule, a Thursday game at Golden West and then Valentine's Day finale with Hanford. That game will be played in Lemoore.

On the girls’ side, they won’t be going to the playoffs thanks to a disappointing 6-15 mark and their 4-6 WYL record.

However, on Tuesday the Tigers easily got past El Diamante in Visalia 48-32.
