Tiger end basketball season against Hanford Wednesday, boys are playofff bound

Lemoore’s basketball teams will end their West Yosemite League season on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14 against Hanford. The Tiger boys will host the Bullpups in a 7:30 p.m. game while the ladies will travel to Hanford for a matchup with the mighty 11-0 Bullpups.

The Lady Tigers, at 6-16 and 4-7 in the WYL will have their hands full with the league-leading Bullpups and will miss the Central Section playoffs this year.

The Tiger boys, at 15-10 overall and 6-5 have earned a spot in the playoffs, which will begin next week. Lemoore’s boys got a jump on Hanford with a Feb. 8 victory at Golden West. Lemoore edged the Blazers 62-58.

The Lady Tigers dropped a 62-39 decision to the Blazers in the LHS Event Center last week.
