Tigers lose three in weekend softball tourney

It wasn’t a perfect weekend for Lemoore’s softball team. The Tigers, playing in the Washington Union Tournament, opened Friday with a disappointing loss to Rancho High School, losing 5-4.

Lemoore scattered eight hits in the game, two each from Megan Van Allen and Selina Perez.

Lemoore’s bats fell silent on Saturday as the Tigers fell 13-2 in a loss to Madera High. Later in the day, the Tigers dropped a disappointing 11-2 game against Monache High.

The Tigers mustered just four hits in the Monache contest, equaling their offensive output against Madera.

Lemoore has a game at El Diamante High School on Tuesday. The Tigers are currently 1-1 in the West Yosemite League.
