Local Little League all stars defeat Porterville in back to back games for District Championship

Lemoore’s talented team was 4-1 over the span of the five-day tournament included a close last inning loss to Porterville 3-2, a 5-0 shutout of Corcoran, a 10-run rule 12-2 victory over Exeter, a 6-2 defeat of Porterville, then finally capping their run with a stunning 8-7 victory over Porterville in the championship game.
Lemoore featured five talented pitchers over this five-game span with great performances by Panda Isquierdo, Anthony Rodriguez, Drew Maldonado, Michael Garcia, and Kyrie Antone. Defensively, Anthony Rodriguez turned in a defensive gem as catcher along, and Landen Young provided key plays at both catcher and in the infield.
Michael Garcia led all infielders defensively with several plays at shortstop. Kyrie Antone led all outfielders with key catches in centerfield.
