The Lemoore Police Department this week got some much-needed help from the victims of a thief, who had been stealing packages from the front porches of homes. The victims provided police with a video showing a suspect taking the packages.

It turns out that the neighborhood is saturated with high-definition video cameras, and they captured video of the suspect vehicle, a black Hyundai with silver rims, which was in the area at the time of the theft.

On August 9, Lemoore law enforcement identified a suspect in the case: Karl Julius Jensen, 39, of Hanford. Detectives, with the assistance of Kings County Probation, conducted a probation search at his home in Hanford, where they found several stolen items, taken in one of the thefts.

Police found the suspect’s vehicle in the driveway. A vehicle search led to the discovery of additional items stolen from a car in Hanford on the morning of August 9. The recovered stolen property was seized and later returned to the owners.

Police charged Jensen with grand theft and possession of stolen property. He was also charged with being under the influence of a controlled substance. Officers also arrested a suspect, Victoria Diaz, 38, of Hanford. Diaz was wanted by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for a parole violation. Both subjects were booked into the Kings County Jail and are being held without bail.
