Using home video surveillance videos, the Lemoore Police Department eventually arrested two persons in connection to a July 29 Lemoore residential burglary. The Fresno Police Department’s Career Criminal Auto Theft Team (CCATT) identified the two suspects.

It was at about 10:30 a.m. on July 29 that Lemoore officers investigated a burglary and two vehicle thefts on Toomey Street. Sometime over the course of the night several suspects broke into the victim’s home and took several items. They also stole an SUV and trailer.

A suspect vehicle was also identified as being used to tow the trailer from the home.

Lemoore detectives followed up and thanks to videos obtained from the victim's residence and neighbors the detectives identified two suspects: Leah Diaz, 32 of Fresno, and Kenneth Staton, 29 of Lemoore, both of whom were eventually identified by Fresno police.

Fresno police officials contacted the Lemoore Police Department on Aug. 16 saying they had the two suspects in custody or under surveillance. Police responded and made an arrest. Police also located the stolen utility trailer taken from the Lemoore residence.

Both suspects were then transported to the Kings County jail and booked on charges of residential burglary, two counts of vehicle theft, and conspiracy to commit a crime. Their bail was set at $300,000.00 each.
