Lady Tigers take third at Ranger Shootout wrestling tourney Saturday in Visalia. Tigers will host Friday tourney at 1 p.m.
The squad had three overall winners this past weekend, including wins from Marisa Perico, Mia Meno, and returning standout Eunique Barnes. Rayann Neverez and Destiny Barnes managed third-place finishes for the Tigers.
The Lady Tigers will ramp it up again on Friday when they host their own tournament starting at 1 p.m. in the school’s gym. The varsity boys are home on Saturday for the Lemoore Duals as the begin another run for a West Yosemite League championship.
The Tigers could be a force this season, particularly with the return of Barnes, who just this past spring earned her second trip to the California State Girls Wrestling Championships in Visalia where she finished second.
Joining Barnes on the squad this year is sister Destiny Barnes, who managed a third-place finish this week.
