Kings County Deputies responded to a local hospital on Dec. 17 regarding a 15-year-old female giving birth. Due to the age of the mother, the hospital contacted law enforcement.

The minor told the deputies that she had been sexually assaulted by a man she had met on Facebook. She identified the suspect as Hector Montez, 31, and showed the officers a photo from his Facebook profile.

The minor said Montez picked her up from school because she needed a ride. After she entered his vehicle, he drove her to an area around 18th Ave and Jackson Ave. She repeatedly told him to take her home, Montez refused, and after he stopped the car, he sexually assaulted her.

Deputies located Montes at work. Montez was arrested without incident. He was later booked into the Kings County Jail for the charges of 261(a)2 PC, 12022.8 PC, 207(a) PC, 236 PC, 209(B)(1) PC. Bail was set at 5,275,000.
