During search after shooting, police find drugs, weapons, packaging material

Lemoore Police Department officers were dispatched to Locust Street on Friday, March 22 at about 3 a.m. regarding the report of gunshots. Once on the scene, officers located a residence that had reportedly been hit by several bullets.

The bullets narrowly missed the occupants inside the residence. A child was among the occupants. Neighbors described a dark-colored compact car leaving the scene at a high rate of speed.

At about 1:30 p.m. detectives and the Kings County Major Crime Task Force served a search warrant at the residence struck by bullets during the shooting. They were there to retrieve the bullets that may have penetrated the home’s walls.

During the search, Investigators found items inside the home which led them to believe that drug sales were being conducted on the site. Police found 12.23 pounds of marijuana, half an ounce of concentrated cannabis, a shotgun, shotgun ammunition, 214 ecstasy pills, and packaging material, all of which were seized during the search. The ecstasy pills tested positive for MDMA and methamphetamine.

Detectives are currently investigating Friday’s incident as a drug-related shooting and say suspects Ryan Lawrence Goleman (18) and Jared Michael Montoya (20) were residents. Goleman was placed under arrest for HS 11359 (b) possession of marijuana for sales, PC 182 (a)(l) conspiracy to commit a crime, and PC 273 a (a) child endangerment. Montoya was placed under arrest for 11359 (b) possession of marijuana for sales, H&S 113 78 possession of ecstasy for sale, PC 182 (a)(l) conspiracy to commit a crime, and PC 273 a (a) child endangerment.

The Lemoore Police Department is asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact Detectives at 559-924-9574.
