Lemoore’s varsity baseball team fell to 0-2 in the West Yosemite League after losing Friday for the second time this week to Redwood High School. Lemoore’s Lady Tigers, on Friday, erupted for eight runs to beat Golden West 8-0 and improve to 2-1 in the league.

Earlier in the week, Lemoore’s baseball team lost a 2-0 decision to the Rangers in Visalia. This time around, in a friendlier location, the Rangers hit the ball hard, easily beating Lemoore 12-1.

The Tigers hope to get back on track Wednesday when they travel to Visalia for a game against El Diamante. The softball team has a date on April 3 with Mt. Whitney High.

The Lady Tigers pounded the ball Friday afternoon in Visalia against the Trailblazers. Selina Perez may have had the hottest bat as she led the Tigers with three hits and two RBI. She wasn’t the only one wielding a big stick. Shelly Jobe had a pair of hits as did Susannah Campos, McKenzie Dutra, and Kara Tellefson.

Leslie Segura went the distance for the Tigers giving up just seven hits and striking out two. Dutra and Kyleigh Allen each pounded out doubles while Perez came up with a triple.
