Tiger softballers cement hold on CIF Central Section playoffs with big win over Blazers. Tigers end season at Hanford

Lemoore’s baseball team dropped to 8-15 overall and 1-6 in the West Yosemite League after falling in a 12-5 decision to Mt. Whitney on the Tigers’ home turf. Lemoore. Lemoore will travel to Visalia on Friday for its second matchup with Mt. Whitney. Lemoore ends its season next week with a pair of games against Hanford. The season finale with the Bullpups will be Friday, May 2.
Lemoore’s softballers, 5-3 in the WYL and 10-8-1 overall face 1-7 Mt. Whitney on Friday and then travels to Hanford on May 1 to take on the league-leading Bullpups in the season finale.
Tiger batters erupted on Wednesday, pounding the Trailblazers for 20 hits. Sierra Phelps and Shelley Jobe led the way with four hits in four trips to the plate. Each drove home three runs apiece in the lopsided victory.
Jacky Esquer went three for four with three RBI while McKenzie Dutra was a perfect three for three with four RBI and a home run. Susannah Campos and Megan VanAllen each had a pair of hits as the Tigers cemented their hold on a Division 3 playoff spot.
