After winning four West Yosemite League softball games in a row, the Tigers finally bit the dust, but this time it was to the eventual league champs. However, Lemoore, despite dropping a disappointing 10-2 game in Hanford – its second loss in a row to the Bullpups – will take its impressive 6-4 WYL record into the Division III playoffs, which begin next week.

The sixth-seeded Tigers will host Santa Maria on Tuesday (May 7) in the playoffs' first round. The Saints finished the regular season at 10-16 overall. Tuesday's winner will go on to meet the winner of the Selma and Nipomo game in the quarterfinals on May 9.

Lemoore finished third in the WYL behind 9-1 Hanford and 8-2 Redwood, the only teams to defeat the Tigers in league play. Lemoore’s overall record is 11-9-1.

Lemoore will find out this weekend whom it will play in the upcoming Division III playoffs.
