It was on June 16, at approximately 10:22 p.m. that Lemoore police officers arrived at Avocado Drive following a report of gunshots and a disturbance involving several subjects and at least two vehicles. A Lemoore officer happened to be in the area at the time of the call and heard gunshots coming from the vicinity of the 900 block of Avocado Drive.

The officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle leaving the area at the time of the call and found a victim with a single gunshot wound. The 31-year-old victim was transported to Community Regional Medical Center, Fresno, and eventually died from his wounds.

The Lemoore Police Investigations Unit, with the help of the Kings County Major Crimes Task Force, investigated the case and learned that two suspects drove to Avocado Drive and engaged in a fight with another group of subjects. One of the males produced a firearm and shot and killed the male victim located by police on June 16.

This case is still under investigation. If anyone has information regarding this case, please call the Lemoore Police Department at 559-924-9574.
