The incident occurred in the early morning hours of July 16.

The Kings County Sheriff’s Department arrested a suspect, 29-year-old Rowdy Paulo, whom detectives charged with attempted homicide, assault with a deadly weapon, and shooting a firearm at an inhabited building.

The incident occurred at about 3 a.m. when the five-year-old and an 11-year-old were watching television in a living room of a home on Iona Avenue when a shot was suddenly fired into the house, striking the young boy.
