The Kings County Sheriff’s Department arrested a Santa Rosa Rancheria man on charges of attempted homicide and shooting into an occupied dwelling on Aug. 23.

It was about 3:30 p.m. when deputies and detectives responded to Atwell Court following reports of someone shooting a weapon in the area. Upon arrival, detectives located four bullet holes in the exterior garage of a residence in the area. The garage was occupied by two residents at the time of the shooting.

No person was injured.

A witness stated that Reynaldo Thomas has been in the area shooting a handgun into the air while yelling at people in the residence. Detectives say that after shooting in the air, Thomas shot four rounds in the direction of a neighbor’s residence, striking the side of the garage.

Detectives later served a search warrant on Thomas’ residence and located two handguns, several types of ammunition, and several spent shell casings.

Reynaldo was transported to the Kings County Jail and was booked for attempted homicide, shooting into an occupied dwelling and several other firearm-related charges.  Reynaldo's bail was set at $780,000.00.
