Lemoore’s nine-game losing streak mercifully came to an end Friday night in Chowchilla as Lemoore’s varsity football team came from behind in the fourth quarter to beat the Tribe 26-16. The Tigers hope to start a new winning streak beginning Friday when they host Tulare Western in Lemoore’s home opener.

The Tigers’ defense kept Chowchilla mostly in check, allowing just 157 rushing yards and just three yards through the air.

Friday’s upcoming game is the first of four straight home contests as the Tigers prepare for their Oct. 4 West Yosemite League opener against Redwood in Tiger Stadium.

Lemoore's Will Schalde caught a pass that led to a go ahead touchdown.
