Lemoore police respond to shots fired in Lions Park, juvenile arrested on gun charges

A 17-year-old Lemoore juvenile was arrested by Lemoore police early Friday morning and booked at the Kings County Juvenile Center on several gun charges.

It was at about 1:45 a.m. on October 11 that Lemoore police officers responded to a call at Lions Park, 852 Fox Street, regarding the sound of shots fired. Multiple callers reported that they heard shots in the nearby park.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found four subjects at Lions Park. During their investigation, the officers identified a 17-year-old male juvenile in possession of a loaded firearm with a high capacity magazine.

Officers noticed that the firearm did not have a serial number and had a threaded barrel. The male juvenile was arrested. No victims have been identified or otherwise located. This case is still currently under investigation.
