Lemoore’s struggling varsity football team is no doubt hoping that Friday’s 34-23 victory at El Diamante is a harbinger of things to come as the Tigers hope to improve to 2-1 in the West Yosemite League as they continue their road swing with a trip Friday night at Golden West High School.

Lemoore, at 1-1 in the WYL, takes on a fairly solid Trailblazer team that sports an overall record of 5-1 and a 1-1 mark in a strong WYL. The Blazers defeated Mt. Whitney in an Oct. 4 contest 61-7, but then dropped a disappointing 42-38 decision to unbeaten Redwood High School on Oct. 11.

Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday night at Visalia’s Groppetti Community Stadium on the Golden West campus.

The Tigers have three games remaining on their 2019 schedule, including a home date against Mt. Whitney on Oct. 25 and their annual Milk Can game against a powerful and unbeaten (7-0, 2-0) Hanford Bullpups squad on Nov. 1 in Neighbor Bowl.

Upcoming Games

10/18 at Golden West High School, 7 p.m.

10/25 Lemoore vs. Mt. Whitney, 7 p.m.

11/1 at Hanford High School, 7 p.m.
