Kings Major Crimes Unit arrests suspect in stabbing incident and books him into Kings County Jail
Upon arrival at the crime scene, deputies found victims Pedro Gomez and Carlos Ramirez lying on the ground by a house. Both victims were stabbed in the chest and transported to Kaweah Delta Hospital in Visalia and then Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno.
The victims provided a statement and description of the vehicle driven by the suspect – a brown Chevrolet Tahoe. A short time later, the Kings County Major Crimes Unit located the suspect’s vehicle near the town of Armona.
Deputies detained four subjects in the Tahoe, and during a search of the Tahoe, investigators found two knives and a small amount of Methamphetamines.
During their investigation, detectives identified a witness to the stabbing. The witness identified the suspect, Barojas, as the person suspected of stabbing the victims.
The crime was apparently the result of a civil dispute regarding a vehicle. The three passengers in the Tahoe were interviewed and released.
Detectives booked Barojas into the Kings County Jail on attempted murder charges.
The Rural Crimes Task Force also located an illegal Marijuana field on the victim’s property. The marijuana plants were eradicated, and according to the sheriff’s department, they had a street value of approximately $83,000.
The investigation was a group effort between the Kings County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division, Major Crimes Unit, Detective Division, and the Rural Crimes Task Force.
