It took some time and effort, but the Kings County Sheriff’s Department finally arrested a suspect in a vehicle burglary dating to Wednesday, November 20. The burglary reportedly occurred in the Dynasty Chinese Cuisine Restaurant parking lot at about noon.

It was about at that time that deputies arrived at the parking lot at 441 North 10th Avenue in Hanford regarding a vehicle break-in. A suspect broke into a car, stealing a wallet, cash, and bank cards. Deputies viewed video surveillance of the burglary, getting a description of the suspect and the vehicle he used.

Deputies located a matching vehicle – initially viewed in the surveillance restaurant video – at the nearby Travel Haven Motel. Deputies looked into the car windows and noticed a black instrument case with the logo VUSD (Visalia Unified School District). Deputies contacted the Visalia Police Department, and officials there confirmed a recent vehicle burglary where a case containing a clarinet was stolen from the band director's vehicle.

Deputies determined who rented the room and contacted the Kings County Detective Unit.

Detectives searched the hotel room and vehicle. Detectives, during their search, located items taken from the earlier vehicle burglary at the Chinese Cuisine. Detectives returned the items to the victim.

Investigators, based on the person who rented the room, were able to identify a suspect, Justin Manlove, thanks to a prior booking photo. Manlove, according to detectives, matched the subject seen in the surveillance video at the Chinese Restaurant.

Detectives say Manlove was also a suspect in a recent Lemoore vehicle burglary.

On December 11th, the Fresno Police Department contacted Kings County detectives that its officers arrested Manlove on two outstanding warrants. During the Kings County detectives' interview, the suspect, Manlove, admitted to the vehicle break-in at the Dynasty Chinese Restaurant.

The suspect, Manlove, was later booked into Kings County Jail for outstanding warrants and vehicle burglary. His bail is currently set at $45,000.
