Sheriff's detectives arrest man for suspicion of violating sex offender registration charges

On Tuesday, March 3, at approximately 3 p.m., Kings County Sheriff's Office detectives, assigned to monitor and supervise registered sex offenders, contacted registrant Frank Contreras Jr. at a residence on Alkali Drive, Lemoore.

Detectives contacted the suspect, Contreras, due to him being out of compliance with the law, which requires suspects to register as a sex offender.  Additionally, Contreras had two confirmed arrest warrants out of Kings County for violating sex offender registration related charges.

 Deputies arrested Contreras without incident and booked him into the Kings County Jail for being out of compliance with sex offender registration requirements and the two Kings County warrants.  The suspect's bail was set at $40,000.
