It was at about 10 a.m. on Saturday (March 21), 2020, that Kings County deputies were called to the Kings Gospel Mission in Armona to investigate a possible burglary. It was the second time in the last three days that deputies were forced to investigate a burglary at this location.

Deputies, once on the scene, contacted an employee who told them he found multiple items he recognized as having been stolen from the Kings Gospel Mission’s C-train, adjacent to their property, and also near a homeless encampment. The items matched items taken from the burglary on March 19.

The victim told deputies he witnessed a male subject walking to, and then entering a home on Front Street, near where the items were stolen. Deputies retrieved a description of the suspect and visited the Front Street address.

The suspect, Robert Ryan Harden, matched the description provided by the victim. He exited the home and was immediately detained for questioning,

The victim identified the suspect Harden, and deputies also took advantage of security camera footage that confirmed the suspect breaking into and stealing property from the Kings Gospel Mission on March 19 and 21.

Deputies also searched the suspect and found a set of keys from a previously stolen item from the Kings Gospel Mission.

Multiple stolen items were recovered from Harden's encampment and returned to Kings Gospel Mission. The suspect was subsequently transported and booked into the Kings County Jail for violations of PC 459-Burglary and PC 496-Possession of Stolen Property. His bail was set at $20,000.
