Kings County deputies respond to Hanford home, find deceased male. Suspect arrested

On Friday, July 10, Kings County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a medical aid incident at a Hanford residence. When they arrived on the scene, on Hardcastle Drive, deputies located a deceased male and identified him as Sam Carson.

Sheriff’s detectives were summoned and investigated the crime scene. Shortly after, the deputies developed leads and recovered video evidence that identified a suspect, Joseph Guzman, 27. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant and went looking for the suspect.

An autopsy by the Kings County Sheriff's Office Coroner Division will be conducted at a later time to determine a cause of death.

On Saturday, July 11, at approximately 8:30 p.m., detectives located  Guzman at a residence in Corcoran. Deputies arrested Guzman without incident and subsequently booked him into the Kings County Jail on the no-bail arrest warrant. No further information is available at this time.
