Heather Christine Guzman passes away peacefully Nov. 13 in comfort of her home
The family then settled in Lemoore, California, in December 2004. Where they bought a home and watched their children grow. Heather’s days were spent being the most amazing mother to her 3 children. They often kept her busy with activities such as baseball and soccer games. As her children grew older, she began working for Meadow Lane Elementary as a school clerk. She also attended West Hills community college, earning her associate degree in child development, and was able to graduate with Nick by her side. Heather then furthered her career and began to work for Lemoore Naval Air Station as a CO administrative assistant.
Heather could often be seen sitting outside as she would watch her children play with the neighborhood kids, training her beloved dog Leo and enjoying family time with friends in the backyard. She loved camping, visiting with friends, traveling, and most importantly watching her 3 children grow. Isabella, Ezekiel, and Francisco have been raised to be respectful, responsible, and kind. They are filled with their mother’s love, and she cherished them greatly.
Heather passed away peacefully on November 13, 2020, in the comfort of her home. She was surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband, Nicholas Guzman of 18 years, 3 children Isabella (19), Francisco (17) and Ezekiel (17), parents Ronald and Judith Rogers, older sister Jennifer (Dawni), older brother David Rogers and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by the many friends she has made throughout her life as well as the Military Community of Lemoore.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, November 22, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Peers-Lorentzen Funeral Chapel, located at 132 West Kern Avenue, in Tulare.
A memorial service will also be held at the NAS Lemoore Base Theater, located at 821 Handcock Circ. NAS Lemoore, on November 23 at 11 a.m. Organizers are asking that participants email their names and drivers’ license numbers to Wendy.s.mount@navy.mil ASAP.
