On January 25, a Kings County Sheriff’s detective, assigned as a Special Deputy U.S. Marshall attached to Fresno FBI office, was advised that a suspect, David Huff, may have sent an e-mail containing child pornography.

Over the course of the investigation, law enforcement officials determined that Huff, 66, was suspected of sending a work email to approximately ten employees containing several document attachments.  Also attached to the email was one image depicting possible child pornography.

Officials obtained a search warrant to search Huff’s residence and seize all electronics and data storage devices.  The warrant was reviewed and authorized by the Kings County Superior Courts.

On March 3, Kings County Sheriff’s Department detectives, with Lemoore Police Department officers' assistance, served the warrant at the suspect’s residence.  During the search, several laptop computers and cell phones were seized as evidence.  Detectives arrested Huff on suspicion of possession of child pornography.

The case is currently under investigation, and the items seized will be forensically extracted for data.
