Ronald Webb White, 82, of Lemoore, passed away April 30, 2021, in Lemoore, Ca. He precedes his loving wife of 62 years, Joyce Marie White (Silva), “the first lady.” Ron was born to Olan and Dorothy White in Quanah, Texas, on January 8, 1939.

He and his family moved to Lemoore when he was four. He graduated from Lemoore High School in 1957 and attended College of the Sequoias through 1959, studying Criminology. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and honorably served in the Military Police K9 branch. He returned to Lemoore upon discharge and served the local community in the Lemoore Post Office for 36 years until his retirement in 2000.

Ronnie, as he is most affectionately known, leaves us having been a part of so many of our lives. Besides being a devoted family man to his wife Joyce, daughter Renee, and grandson Justin, he was a pillar in the Lemoore community. He was a Lemoore Volunteer Fireman and Kings County Sherriff. As an avid fisherman and RV’er, he spent any free time around California and especially loved camping at Pismo Beach.

Throughout his life, he most enjoyed being involved with youth sports, from coaching his daughter, Renee, in Bobby Sox or as a fan of all of Justin’s sports. He worked the flags (part of the original chain gang), scoreboard, and concessions for Lemoore High and West Hills College. If none of this rings a bell, then you probably met him as he called bingo or sold fireworks in support of the Lemoore Senior Center. He was always quick with a joke and cheered up everyone around him.

His community involvement has been recognized through numerous awards, including the 2000 ASCA Kings Charter “Golden Apple Award” and being inducted into the Lemoore High School Hall of Fame in 2005. Ronnie and Joyce were also honored to be named the Kings County Homecoming King and Queen in 2008.

Ronnie, a devoted husband, father, and “Vuvie” is survived by his wife Joyce, daughter Renee Turner along with her husband John, and grandson Justin Bate along with his wife Sarah (who considered him her “Vuv” too). He was preceded in death by his parents Olan and Dorothy, and brothers Royce and Montye.

There will be a memorial service for close family and friends at Phipps-Dale Funeral Chapel on Friday, May 7th at 3:00 P.M. He will be interred at Lemoore Cemetery during a private ceremony. No flowers requested. Any donations should be sent directly to the Lemoore Senior Center.
