Softball falls to Hanford in WYL as boys win 3-0 at Golden West. Boys soccer in home playoff match Thursday at 5 p.m.
The Tigers simply could not mount an offense as the Bullpups put together several scoring innings, including scoring three runs each in the third and fifth innings.
In Tiger boys’ action, Lemoore took its offense on the road for a 3-0 victory over Golden West Friday afternoon. Lemoore scored two runs in the first and a single run in the third to provide all the runs they needed. The Tigers improved to 5-6 in the WYL and are 13-9 overall.
Senior Diego Ambriz led the Tigers with a pair of hits. Overall, Lemoore collected just six hits on the day, including at least one hit from Anfernee Murrieta, Koy Davis, and Isaiah Gonzalez.
The Tigers are at home Friday for a 4:15 p.m. game against El Diamante.
In boys’ basketball action, the Tigers are 6-2 overall and have a Saturday, 6 p.m. game at San Joaquin Memorial. Lemoore will play its final two games at Kingsburg (May 26) and at Hanford on May 27.
The Lemoore girls’ basketball team hosts Hanford Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and travels to Kingsburg on May 26 at Kingsburg and the girls’ finale at Hanford on Thursday, May 27. The Lemoore ladies are currently 2-3 on the season.
Lemoore's boys' soccer team appears to be gunning for a CIF Central Section Division 3 title. The team finished third in the WYL with a 7-3 mark and an overall record of 14-4 during this unusual sports year. The Tigers beat East Bakersfield 8-1 in the first round of the playoffs to set up the quarterfinal match against Memorial High school at 5 p.m. Wednesday (May 20) in Tiger Stadium.
