A somewhat shortened hybrid ceremony greeted the 52 Lemoore High School District Middle College High School as they graduated Friday night in the West Hills College Golden Eagle Arena.

Parents and friends were allowed inside the arena and watched as this year’s grads accepted their diplomas by picking them off a table as their names were called. No handshakes or congratulatory hugs allowed this year due to lingering concerns about the Coronavirus, despite evidence that the COVID-19 virus may be on its last legs in California.

All the speeches – Valedictorian, Salutatorian, and Class President speech – along with the welcoming speech by Principal Jamison Whiting and the Keynote speech from Leslie Daniel were previously recorded and played on a screen.

The ceremony took only 45 minutes to complete, at which time the graduates and guests exited the building to watch a short fireworks show just east of the arena.
