Despite having the lower seeds in their respective CIF Central Section playoff brackets, Lemoore’s girls’ and boys' basketball teams will hit the road in first-round playoff games beginning Tuesday night (June 1) when the girls play a 7 p.m. at Tulare Union High School.

Lemoore’s boys’ basketball team will play its first-round playoff game at San Luis Obispo, scheduled for 5 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. The Tigers are 6-5 overall and 1-1 in the West Yosemite League. The Lemoore ladies go into the playoffs with a 4-4 overall record and a 1-1 mark in the league.

“We are the lower seed for both games,” Lemoore High School Athletic Director Brady Holaday told The Leader. “However, with senior awards tonight (June 1) and Jamison High School graduation  tomorrow, both teams had to travel for the first round of the playoffs.”

Lemoore’s baseball and softball teams will also be going to the playoffs starting next week. The Tigers end their regular season baseball campaign – before entering the playoffs along with the school’s softball team -  with a matchup against Hanford Wednesday at 4:15 p.m.

The Lady softballers also end their regular season tomorrow (June 2) at Hanford in a 4:30 p.m. game. Lemoore’s softball team is currently 3-6 in the West Yosemite League and 4-13. Lemoore’s baseball team heads into its league-ending game with Hanford with a 15-10 overall mark and a 7-7 WYL campaign.

Lemoore's Kings Christian boys' basketball team is also scheduled to play in the Division 5 playoffs. Both the boys' and girls' teams are scheduled to play at Parlier Wednesday night.
