Local law enforcement join forces and arrest Lemoore pair on variety of charges

It was approximately 7 a.m. this morning (June 25) that a joint investigation between the Lemoore Police Department and the Kings County Major Crimes Task Force resulted in the arrest of a pair of Lemoore men.

According to local law enforcement, a search warrant was executed at Lemoore’s Olympic Avenue residence by the Central Valley Regional SWAT Team, the Kings County Major Crimes Task Force, and the Kings County District Attorney’s office.

The warrant resulted from a joint investigation between the Lemoore Police Department and the Kings County Major Crimes Task Force.  Two subjects were arrested as a result of the investigation.  Police identified the first suspect as 20-year-old Tommy Chavez.  Local police arrested Chavez and transported him to Kings County Jail on suspicion of brandishing a firearm in a public place, carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle, possessing an assault weapon, participating in a criminal street gang, and committing a felony out on bail.

Police also arrested 24-year-old Angel Arias of Lemoore.  Arias was transported to Kings County Jail for a parole violation and criminal threats against arresting officers.
