The Lemoore Little League Intermediate All-Stars defeat Visalia to win District 34 championship. The team moves on to Sectional play June 29.
Starting pitcher Jaden Isquierdo pitched four innings, followed by closer Clinton Rhew. Lemoore’s all-stars are coached by manager Jed Johnson and assistant coaches Kevin Rhew and Miguel Macias.
Team members include Sam Borror, Daniel Boyce, Luke Church, Dylan Hammer, Jaden Isquierdo, Benny Johnson, Wyatt Jones, Luke Kubisch, Hayden Keeney, Gael Lopez, Jackson Macias, Dallas Neal, and Clinton Rhew.
Coaches say this year was a special season. A year ago, the season was canceled due to COVID-19. The fate of this season was also in question until late into February and March.
Another Lemoore team, the local 12 years and under all-stars, begins its Little League District Tournament on their home turf in Lemoore this Saturday, June 26, at 7 p.m. on Becker Field, as the weekend begins with the Visalia All-Stars battling the Porterville All-Stars.
Lemoore will play the winner of that game on Sunday, June 27, at 7 a.m. on Becker Field.
