Kings County deputy recognizes suspect at Overland Stockyards, makes arrest

A Kings County Deputy Sheriff,  on October 26 at about 11 p.m., recognized a suspect, Donald Gilbert, in the Overland Stockyards at 9th Avenue in rural Kings County.

The deputy recognized the suspect as Donald Gilbert. According to the Kings County Sheriff’s Department, Gilbert had two no-bail Kings County warrants issued for his arrest for violation of Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS).

The deputy placed the suspect, Gilbert, under arrest and then searched him. During the investigation, the deputy found 16 grams of Methamphetamine discovered in the suspect’s jacket pocket.

The deputy booked Gilbert into the Kings County Jail on the two outstanding warrants and possession of a controlled substance for sale. He was placed into custody on the no-bail warrants.
