Lemoore's quarterback, Ty Chambers, orchestrated the Tigers' first touchdown, a 16-yard pass to Cory Whitmore, to close the ranks to just one point. Lemoore failed on the point after attempt ad still trained 7-6.

With just minutes remaining, Lemoore had the ball on Mission Prep's 25-yard line when Prep's Jack Susank intercepted a Tiger pass on his one-yard line, and the game ended just moments later.
