Former Lemoore businessman, who owned local Foster's Freeze, passes away
Raphael, known to his many Lemoore friends as Ray, was a kind and humble man who never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He married the love of his life, Sonya, on February 23, 2001, and so began the many years they spent building their lives together. Raphael adored his beautiful wife and spent every moment he could making sure she was well taken care of and knew how much he loved her.
He was a great stepdad and grandfather to her children and grandchildren and cared for them as his own. Raphael was a real-life hero, a Vietnam Veteran, and he served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corp. He loved shooting guns and was also a member of the NRA.
Raphael enjoyed attending car shows, building things, and working with his hands. He was also a business owner for many years. Raphael owned and operated his own Foster's Freeze in Lemoore, attending conferences in Las Vegas and hosting Cruise Nights through the franchise.
Raphael was preceded in death by parents, John and Dorothy Moore; brother, Matthew Moore; sister, Kathleen Rutton. He is survived by his wife Sonya Moore and her children, Evelyn Carter and husband Tracy, Joseph Busby, Annette Williams and husband Robert; and grandchildren, Solana and Joseph Busby and Lauren and Luke Carter; brother, Thomas Moore; sisters, Dorothy Fischer, Mary Moore; stepbrothers, John, and James Moore. Raphael also leaves behind many other loved ones and lifelong friends.
