Lemoore police identify suspected residential burglary suspect and make arrest

Between January 13 and January 17, the Lemoore Police Department responded to six separate residential burglaries located within the Cinnamon Villa apartment complex. During each of these burglaries, the suspect forced entry into the residence either by kicking in the front door or entering through an unlocked window.

The burglaries were sporadic in time ranging from early morning hours to mid-day. During three of these burglaries, the victims were home and asleep while the suspect entered their apartment. During one burglary, the suspect had stolen keys to a vehicle from within the residence then stole the vehicle parked outside.

On January 15, an LPD officer saw a male suspect climbing out the front window of an apartment. Believing the suspect had possibly just burglarized the residence the officer attempted to contact the suspect, but the suspect fled on foot and avoided capture.

During the course of the investigation, officers were able to identify the suspect as 21-year-old Arthur Harris, of Lemoore. On February 1, working in conjunction with the Kings County Major Crimes Task Force, the suspect, Harris, was located while still in possession of the previously stolen vehicle. Police took the suspect into custody without incident. Another suspect, Miracle Mitchell, 20 years old, of Lemoore, was with Arthur Harris and also arrested.

Police booked Harris into the Kings County Jail for the charges of burglary, unlawful use of an access card, auto theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, and financial abuse of an elder. Harris’s bail was set at $225,000. Mitchell was booked into Kings County Jail for possession of a stolen vehicle and her bail was set at $10,000.

Anyone with information about these cases is encouraged to call Lemoore Police Department (559) 924-9574.
