Tiger boys' hoopsters take charge in second half for big win over El Diamante as team improves to 4-3 in WYL

After a convincing home victory over El Diamante, Lemoore High School’s boys’ basketball team improved to 4-3 in the West Yosemite League. The Tigers outlasted the Miners 50-36. The Tigers hit the road on Friday for a matchup with Golden West.

The Tigers are 14-9 overall. According to the MaxPreps website, Lemoore’s Beunju Moon leads the Tigers in scoring at 14 points per game.

The Lemoore girls’ basketball team at El Diamante dropped a 50-21 decision to the Miners and fell to 2-5 in the WYL and 7-14 overall. Lemoore’s ladies host Golden West Friday night in the Lemoore Event Center.

In Wednesday’s game, the boys fell behind 23-20 at the half but rebounded in the second half, outscoring the visiting Miners 30-13.
