Deputies arrest two juvenile suspects who assaulted victim and took car

Kings County Deputies, on Thursday, July 28, at about 8:50 p.m., Kings County deputies were dispatched to the area of Front Street and Oak Street in Armona to investigate a fight involving three subjects.

Deputies contact a victim who said he was sitting outside a nearby residence in his grandmother’s car when two juvenile male subjects approached him. The two males grabbed the victim and pulled him out of the car.

According to deputies records, the juvenile suspects – 17 and 16 years old – then assaulted the victim by punching and kicking him repeatedly. The victim fell to the ground, and the suspects began to rummage through his pockets. The victim fought back, and he was able to get up from the ground and run away from the attackers.

The two suspects got into the victim's vehicle and drove away.

An ambulance was contacted and transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was treated for injuries sustained during the assault.

Deputies issued a “be on the lookout” broadcast for the stolen car. A short time later, the Visalia Police Department located the stolen car with three juvenile males inside and detained the suspects.

Once released from the hospital, the victim identified two of the males as the ones who attacked him and stole his car.

The two identified juveniles were arrested and booked into the Kings County Juvenile Center. They were charged with carjacking, robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and possession of the stolen property. The stolen car was returned to the registered owner.
