Tiger volleyball breezes through West Yosemite League play with just one loss. LHS visits Bullpups in finale

Lemoore’s talented varsity girls’ volleyball team sits atop the West Yosemite League thanks to Tuesday’s 3-1 victory over visiting Tulare Western. The Tigers improved to 22-5 with Tuesday’s win. Lemoore’s only loss in the WYL was an Oct. 12, 3-2 loss to Dinuba. However, the Tigers defeated Dinuba 3-1 in the first round of league play.

Lemoore’s final league game is against longtime cross-county foe Hanford scheduled for Oct. 20 on the Bullpups court. The Bullpups are 5-4 in the WYL and 15-11 overall.

The Tigers poured it on in the first two sets, easily getting past Tulare Western 25-14 in the first and 25-12. Western rebounded in the third set, winning 25-17, but Lemoore rebounded with a 25-18 win in the fourth and final set.
