Locals can expect more rain in Lemoore, Kings County says local weather service

According to the Kings County National Weather Service, Friday's persistent rain fell on much of the Central San Joaquin Valley, including record rainfall in Kings County, including Hanford where Kings County residents watched 3.1 inches of rain falling during a 24-hour time period that ended at 4 a.m. Saturday.

Mountain areas got several feet of snow. Another storm is due in the area Sunday evening, but it should bring only between a quarter to a half-inch of rain.

Lemoore and Hanford's residents got a steady dose of rain on Friday that easily began filling up local ponding basins in Lemoore. The rain on Friday was pretty much consistent all day and night long before it finally took a break Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service predicts a 60% chance of rain on Sunday night followed by more rain Monday thru Wednesday.
