On Friday, June 2, Kings County deputies were dispatched to Akers Elementary School at NAS Lemoore regarding an instructional aide suspected of acting inappropriately with children at the school.

An investigation into the instructional aide ensued and was quickly turned over to Kings County detectives. The KCSO Detective Unit continued the investigation and learned that the aide, Alton Mckneely, is suspected of inappropriately touching an 8-year-old female student at the school.

During the investigation, deputies determined that the suspect may have acted inappropriately with other students. Deputies took the suspect into custody without incident at his residence. Kings detectives served a search warrant at his home and seized several laptops, external hard drives, and other items.

KCSO Detectives are working with the FBI Violent Crimes Against Children Task Force in this investigation and turned over all items seized to be forensically downloaded.
