Lemoore police officers arrest local suspect on firearm violations

Lemoore Police detectives, with the assistance of the Department of Justice, ATF, and the Visalia Police Department Bomb Squad, on August 3, at about 8 a.m., served a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Locust St. in Lemoore.

While searching the residence, detectives located two AR-15 style rifles, one sawed-off shotgun, several homemade silencers, a homemade firearm also known as a “zip gun,” approximately one ounce of methamphetamine, and several canisters containing a binary explosive also known as Tannerite.

Local officers arrested a suspect, Christopher Conner Olson, 30, placed him under arrest, and then booked him into the Kings County Jail.

The suspect was arrested for several firearm violations, including manufacturing firearms, being a felon in possession of weapons, having a gun while in possession of a controlled substance, illegally possessing a silencer, and controlling a destructive device.
