Longtime Lemoore woman, Carole Lee Flanigan, passes away on July 3
Carole, a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and wife, is survived by her sons, Chris, Craig, and Kenny; grandchildren, Stephen, Devin, Bryant, Michelle, Jennifer, Johnny, Christopher, Evan, and Gavin; and great-grandchildren Isabella, Emerson, Abigail, Gabriella, and Cambria. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter ‘Bud’ Flanigan, and grandson, Jimmy Flanigan.
Upon graduation from UC Berkeley, Carole began her career as a dental hygienist, first in San Luis Obispo, and upon her return to Lemoore, she continued practicing in Hanford, CA. Later in life, she became a tax preparer, eventually starting her own business, which she continued to do long after she retired from dentistry.
Carole’s mission in life was to bring people joy. She was constantly doing things for family, friends, clients, and even strangers, always putting the needs of others before her own. She focused on providing her children with the best life possible without worry about herself. Carole was also an avid bridge player, and many of her lifelong friendships were forged through her love of the game. Knitting was another of her passions, and she knitted Christmas stockings for multiple generations.
Carole was truly an extraordinary woman whose presence will be forever felt by her family, who loves her dearly. She was a giving person whose passing has left an unfillable hole in the hearts of her loved ones. Carole’s sacrifice, giving, support, and love will be forever entrenched in all who knew her.
A burial service will take place at 10 a.m. on September 16 at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, 40054 Calaveras Ave, Coalinga, CA 93210, with a memorial to take place afterward at the Lemoore Senior Citizens Center, 789 S Lemoore Ave, Lemoore, CA 93245 (Located next to the Lemoore Golf Course).
