The six-foot-eight David was easily noticed but hard to forget with his warm personality and quick wit. David's journey through life was marked by unwavering devotion, deep faith, and boundless love for his family and community.

He was a lifelong resident of Lemoore, where he formed lasting connections and left an indelible impact on those who knew him. His education began at MIQ, and he graduated from Lemoore High School Class of 1971 and attended Fresno State.

David's faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he was an active member of Saint Peter's Catholic Church. As an altar boy, member of the choir, Eucharistic minister, and member of the Knights of Columbus, David's service to the church was exemplary. His commitment to his spiritual beliefs brought him solace and strength throughout his life, and he found comfort in the fellowship of his church community.

In 1975, David embarked on a beautiful journey of love and commitment when he married Mary Ann McCasland. Their union of 48 years was a testament to the enduring power of love and partnership. David was not only a pillar of his family, but he was also a devoted public servant. For 39 years, he dedicated himself to the City of Lemoore, where he served in various roles before retiring in 2015 as the Director of Public Works. His commitment to the community extended to the Planning Commission, where he played a crucial role in shaping the city's future. David's joy came from serving his community, and his impact was immeasurable.

David is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ann, and their three loving children, Amy Walker, Mandy (Rocky) Ormonde, and Joshua (Stephanie) Wlaschin. David's legacy extends to his cherished grandchildren, Mercedes (Cody) Lacey, Steven Walker, Daniel Walker, Hunter Ormonde, and Rylie Wlaschin, who carry his spirit in their hearts. David had the joy of witnessing the birth of his great-grandson, Oliver Lacey, further enriching his life with love and joy.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, devotion, and dedicated service to his community that will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A funeral service to celebrate David's life will be held at Saint Peter's Catholic Church in Lemoore, California, on Monday, September 18th. Rosary at 9:30, Mass at 10:00. Reception to follow at Lemoore Civic Auditorium.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to The Knights of Columbus (kofc.org).  As we say our final farewell to David, let us remember the love he shared, the faith he held, the community he served, and the impact he made on our lives. May he rest in eternal peace, reunited with loved ones who have gone before him, and may his legacy live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
