Lemoore PD arrests Fresno suspect with warrants including homicide, robbery
Detectives developed leads on a possible suspect location. While surveilling this location, officers attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing possible suspects exiting the area and getting into a vehicle. When the officer tried to make a traffic enforcement stop, the car slowly yielded in the 200 block of N 19th Ave.
After the vehicle yielded, one of the occupants exited and ran towards an apartment complex located nearby. The other three vehicle occupants were detained, and a perimeter was set. The Kings County Sheriff’s Office Air Support was requested and responded along with KCSO patrol units.
With the assistance of Lemoore’s Police Department Drone Operator, the suspect was located and arrested. A loaded firearm was found on the suspect during his arrest. The suspect provided a false name but was eventually identified as 20-year-old Tishawn Thorton, out of Fresno.
After obtaining Thorton’s true identity, detectives learned he had active arrest warrants out of Fresno for homicide, robbery, and firearm charges.
During this investigation, detectives gathered enough evidence against Thorton to place him under arrest for homicide. Thorton was booked into the Kings County Jail upon completion.
