Lady golfers second in Division II Central Section championships held in Lemoore
“It has been a great run for the girls this season,” said Tiger Coach Sonia Gonzales. “We made a team goal to shoot a team score of 500 in order to qualify for area this year and the girls worked hard to meet that goal. Qualifying to sectional was beyond our expectations and placing runner up with exactly our goal scores was a reflection of their commitment to meet that goal.”
Jayda Olaes was the brightest spot Tuesday for the Tigers. After starting the tournament with a birdie on hold number two, Olaes continued her roll coming in with a team best score if 88 over the 18-hole layout in Lemoore.
Right behind Olaes was Annalisa Andrada who fired a 96. Dani Kinder had a 99 for the Tigers. Aiyanna Barrios fired a 106 while Adrianna smith had a 111 and Jordan Sheldon shot a 129.
Kinder is going on to the individual area tournament to be held at the Madera Country Club on Tuesday, November 5. Kinder qualified at the Area Tournament last week.
