Tigers fare well at Pioneer Relays at Golden West
The Tigers had a number of athletes do well at the relays including frosh-soph performers Brian Webb and Brian Irineo who tied for first in the pole vault with jumps of 10-0 even.
In the high jump Michael Burke of Lemoore took top honors, winning with a jump of 6-8 to clearly outdistance his rivals. Burke narrowly missed out on another title, finishing second in the long jump at 19-10.50.
Lemoore’s Tahlia Williams was second in the varsity girls’ 100 meters with a time of 13.44. The winner, Jenna Shelton from Mt. Whitney won with a 12.86 clocking. Williams also did well in the long jump, finished fifth overall with a leap of 14-5.
Leland Ray and Shron Bonner finished fourth and fifth respectively in the varsity boys’ 100 meters. Ray had an 11.92 clocking while Bonner finished at 11.96. Cort Groathouse finished 11th with his 12.20.
In the frosh-soph division Allen Perryman won in the 100 meters with a clocking of 12.03 while Autree Turner, also in the frosh-soph race, took second overall with her time of 13.99.
